The Quella Fiamma Trio with viola da gamba plus baroque guitar/lute/theorbo, perform Italian and English baroque music, including works by Barbara Strozzi, Monteverdi, Conti, Purcell, Handel and Dowland. It's a rare opportunity to hear some of the earliest Italian arias as well as much-loved English lute songs, performed on period instruments. Programmes are varied, with instrumental music for solo gamba and theorbo interweaving beautifully with songs of fiery passion, the gods and betrayal.
The trio has performed at venues across London, including Blackheath Concert Halls.
